Why use a travel agent?

I became a travel agent because I love planning trips of all kinds. When my late husband and I started cruising more frequently, I came to love the art of planning a great cruise vacation. What port should you sail out of? How can you get there, and how early should you arrive?

At one point, Allan looked at me and said, “You know, maybe you should become a travel agent. Then you could book trips for other people, and we wouldn’t have to pay for them.” He was joking, sort of, but it turned out that he had a great idea. Almost ten years later, I’m still booking cruises for other people, and I love it.

As the cruise industry has grown, cruising has changed. There are a lot more options to choose from, and what was already a somewhat different way to travel has become even more unique from other types of traveling. Should you pick the early or late set time dining, or should you pick the flexible dining option? Which cabin should you book on the new generation of mega-ships? Should you even cruise on one of these big ships at all, or would you be happier on a smaller cruise ship?

Now, more than ever, it’s important to have a good travel agent to guide you through the process of finding, booking, and planning for your cruise. The best thing about being a travel agent for cruises is that I get paid a commission by the cruise lines, so I can help book and plan your cruise at no additional cost to you. I love sharing my experiences to help you take the perfect cruise vacation, and believe it or not, I love answering your questions about cruising. After all, it’s one of my favorite things to talk about!
